City advises of water supply disruption to Big Bay, Blouberg Sands and West Beach

The City’s Water and Sanitation Department is currently conducting emergency repairs to its 355mm diameter water supply main feeding the Big Bay, Blouberg Sands and West Beach areas. The water supply had to be shut off at 09:00 this morning to enable the maintenance team to drain a section of  the pipe and conduct the repairs safely. Read more below:

Business and residents are kindly requested to keep their taps closed during this period to avoid any water loss and/or damage when the water supply is restored.

The repairs are estimated to be completed by 19:00 this evening.

The City regrets any inconvenience caused, but it is imperative that it maintains its water supply infrastructure to benefit its residents.
